Virtual AGM

22 October 2020

Last night the choir held its first-ever virtual AGM through Zoom. We were delighted with a huge turn-out, but that created the problem of vote counting; members kindly held thumbs up or thumbs down in votes for minutes on end whilst the secretary and a “second pair of eyes”, counted each of the screens. The great news is that our reserves have cushioned us from difficulty over these first six months of the Covid-19 pandemic, and all of Lee’s efforts have helped keep us together in these challenging times. The committee was duly re-elected, the accounts approved, and all other details were happily received. Our normal presentation of long-service awards and the Member’s Award for special efforts in the last season were deferred until we are able to meet in person.
