Our New Website is Live!

3 November 2014

If you are reading this, then you will have seen that our new website is live!!! This has been a labour of love and blood, sweat and tears, lasting some five months, and we hope that you find all that you want here. The site has been developed by Paul Smith of Visual Interactive who designed the websites of St Matthew’s and All Saints Churches in the town, and for their respective Directors of Music Sebastian Thomson (2005-09) and Lee Dunleavy (2006-14), who is also our Musical Director.

Paul Smith writes:

I was absolutely delighted when I was asked to re-develop the Northampton Bach Choir's website. With the experience gained from developing websites for the Northampton & District Organists' Association, All Saints' church and St Matthew's church, I had a valuable understanding that enabled me to develop a clean and professional website that would promote the NBC and all of its facets. It has been a pleasure to work with members of the committee and I am very proud to be a part of what has been accomplished.

Paul Smith, Visual Interactive

There are numerous improvements on our old site (for which we offer grateful thanks to Chris Hill for his years of service to the choir in designing and providing the site for us), not least in its facilities for handling money. You can now buy tickets and CDs electronically using credit or debit cards, and even donate direct to the choir! For choir members there is a secure part of the site with rehearsal schedules and notes. There are expanded sections on our commitment to new music and on our former Musical Directors, and as time goes on more information will be added about past concerts and events.

Don’t forget, too, that we have a thriving Facebook page and that our Twitter and Google+ accounts are gathering momentum.

If you have any feedback on the site, please do not hesitate to contact the Chairman of the choir, David Tristram, using the contact form on our Contact Us page.
